My fantasy costumes...
The following costumes, although a lot of un-informed people would consider them historical, are fantasy costumes. They were eiher inspired by movies, preraphaelite art or worse, they are the product of my own imagination ! They serve for my work but, most of them i'd rather call halloween costumes than period ones !
Fantasy gowns

The previous pages display my personnal period costumes. Although I've been making dresses for my dolls since I can't remember, I was 10 years old when I started creating clothes for myself and I was 12 years old when I made my first costume. But I only started collecting them 3 years ago. You probably think that I'm crazy, that I have too many costumes, that it's a waste of time and money but to me, it's a passion. It's a way to travel through time. And once you made your first travel through time... There's no coming back, it's like a drug, you can't stop ! I enjoy historical reenactment, no mather what the period is.

My older costumes aren't really accurate nor historicaly correct but I'm trying to remedy that. This is why I've started to sell many of them. My goal is to replace them all with handsewn costumes made out of period fabric and patterns based on archeological finds or period sources... No more creations without intensive research !
I'm always happy to answer your questions and help in anyway that I can and you are ALWAYS welcome to write but, I still live in a world where there's such a thing as politeness . I receive between 50 to 100 e-mails a week from people world-wide asking for tips, references, construction or sewing guidance, etc. I always try to answer in the most helpful way I can. I sometimes spend up to 6 hours of my evenings trying to trackdown some links, adresses or other references for you guys. And out of those e-mails, I'd say that for 50% of them, I never even get as much as a PLEASE or THANK YOU.

I'm not charging for any advice, course or time That I give to anyone, I always do it with a smile. All I'm asking is a bit of gratitude, which is still a free thing these days you know. So if you can't learn to be polite, please don't bother to write. I may still answer you with respect but know that you are pissing me off and I WILL be having a very bad day.
Thank you for your comprehension :D
